I considered that, but feel a mounted tablet set up strictly for payments would seem more professional and possibly quell any concerns that I'm simply copying peoples credit card info to my phone. Plus, I could pull the tablet at the end of the day and use it as a regular tablet on my home connection(reading on the toilet and suchrightisright wrote:If you are just going to be using the device for CC processing, why bother with a tablet?...get an Android and use the Square card reader.

If you only need a small amount of data, Tmobile is currently offering a special where they will give you 200MB/mo of free wireless data for mobile devices (aka tablets). All you have to do is buy a SIM, which can run anywhere from free to $10.

Wifi-only tablets tend to be noticeably cheaper than the equivalent models with cellular data capability, ex. the wifi only Nexus 7 is $80 cheaper than the 4G capable one.TheIrishman wrote:I considered that, but feel a mounted tablet set up strictly for payments would seem more professional and possibly quell any concerns that I'm simply copying peoples credit card info to my phone. You can use a free wifi hotspot for the tablet, or if one isn't available tether it to your phone (you've got a data plan on your phone, right?).

That would likely work fine, now I just need to know which tablets would support it and work with "Square".Greg wrote:Tmobile is currently offering a special where they will give you 200MB/mo of free wireless data for mobile devices (aka tablets). All you have to do is buy a SIM
