To paraphrase a line from 80's Targeting circles:
"There are no strategic or tactical weapons, there are only strategic or tactical targets".

I have asked my wife that upon my death, to contact the Dept. of the Navy to have some of my ashes inserted into the warhead of a live Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM), based on the work I did with them in the late 80's.
However, if they were brought back into service and used to shell enemies of the US, and being from Iowa, I could be down with a ride in a 16" round.

And how about a codocil that stipulated the ashes be encased in a matrix of rendered pig and cow fat and whale blubber?

With perhaps a whiff of pressurized H2SO4 and butyric acid as a burster charge, to give those earthly remains that piquant fart-like lingering aftersmell.

Oh, since it's my idea, I hereby ordain the following rule. Anyone caught trying to make the 16" guns more tactical will be forced to walk the plank. You can paint the AAA guns black and mount all the rails, lights, and red-dots on them you want, but the big guns stay original.

I disagree. The Iowa main guns are the ideal weapon to use for that most tactical of applications, house clearing. Kicking in a door while wearing body armor and all the other gear is a great way to end up with sore muscles and sprained joints, not to mention arthritis later in life. Detonating cord, I have learned, stinks after you set it off and the soot is hard to wash out of your clothes. I ruined my favorite white shirt-sleeve; there is a big black streak across it that is impervious to all known detergents and bleaches. Launching a 2000 lbs projectile from 25 miles away that clears the building, and every building within a 200 yard radius, that's the way to do it. No sore muscles, no ruined shirts, minimal chance of being shot, and almost near certainty that the commie terrorists hiding in the building are no longer a cause for concern.
Not so good for hostage rescue ops, though...

16" guns? That's the Heavy Metal division of the International Defensive Howitzer Association. "They pull a knife, you pull a howitzer. They put one of yours in the hospital, you put a beehive round in City Hall."

I already thought they were sufficiently crazy for trying to go trans-Pacific in a small craft with zero know-how. Loons.
The book to read on sailing to Polynesia / Micronesia is "The voyage of the seven little sisters" by William Willis. Fantastic.
Not the famous documentary film, "I Sailed to Tahiti With An All-Girl Crew"?
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

Are you sure this isn't the X-Rated version you're thinking of??? It COULD be quite entertaining!!!!
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
