Sounds like they would fit in real well with all the nuts over at the squirrel cage.

I'm not at ALL saying that's how it would have worked with these people, but if, say, a dozen families taken from TGC's membership were to move to Kiribati in six hours there would be a rifle range, in six days there would be clean running water, in six weeks there would be a working harbor, in six months a railroad and road network and in six years an international airport.
Depends which group of members you get here. With one set, it would be like that. With another set, it's more likely they would steal the USS Iowa, restore it to working order, and drunkenly sail the high seas posing a risk to women of loose morals, ships carrying alcohol, and countries called France.
Putting it that way does not do justice to the master strategy involved. In addition to infrastructure, we're going to be in dire need of population; hence the inclusion of the loose women on the shopping list.

I'm not seeing that as an either/or proposition.

A plethora of books and movies by and about rich assholes who "find themselves" using the third world as their playground.

But, you'd get to finally set the charges you design... Not a bad idea - a roving Armada of off-shore oil production...

You forgot to mention flying the roger, ending every sentence with "yarr", and, of course, the theme music..

I think that's what you meant to say...?

I didn't think that needed to be mentioned, seems kind of obvious.
Oh, since it's my idea, I hereby ordain the following rule. Anyone caught trying to make the 16" guns more tactical will be forced to walk the plank. You can paint the AAA guns black and mount all the rails, lights, and red-dots on them you want, but the big guns stay original.
