I still have every Battletech novel and sourcebook packed away somewhere.

I think I've mentioned this somewhere on this forum before, but when I played 40k in college I had money for models, and paint... but the 'cool-guy' eggcrate foam multi-deck cases were spendy and I was cheap. I always got a great rise out of the entire room when I'd show up to a game in a public place with 2 large rifle cases, which were the cheaper option.

Oh, that's an awesome idea.

Well, I've got enough minis stripped and re-primed that I can start working on potential color schemes. My old color scheme was Tamiya flat green, red lenses for helmets and cybernetic eyes, gunmetal for weapons and brown for belt pouches and the like. It's not bad, but I'm also interested in making a pattern that would be useful for airdrops. Sky blue just doesn't look right, though... anyone have any favorite sites for camouflage patterns for uniforms or aircraft color schemes? Google is giving me some "meh" websites.

I only ever built and painted one camo airplane model, a Hellcat. This site has the scheme I used; Summer '43 - '44

That's not bad at all. Thanks!

I found an unassembled vehicle model during my search for painted miniatures, and since it's a land speeder for Space Marines, I thought a nice Latin phrase should adorn the vehicle when it's complete. The best I can get for a Latin version of "Drive it like you stole it" is "veho sicut tu furabar" or "aurigo sicut tu furabar."

And frankly a Latin phrase would look odd on the 1/48 scale EF-111A model I'll be building soon.
