On Concerns Over Gun Control, Gun Sales Are Up

I disagree with the premise that the people will just run tail and give the government what it wants. The American people are pissed, the have lost huge amounts of money in their homes value,lost more money on stocks and bonds in the 401k's. They see the government bailing out the a-holes that caused this and now millions will be unemployed due to this downward cycle. Now let's piss them off more and try to take their guns and that after the Supreme Crt ruling last summer confirming the right to own!!!! The most dangerous person is one that has little to lose. And the returning vets knowing this new government is doing a "take over" and will just stand by, I doubt it big time.
If the elite's try this action, I can see the storm troopers, even with the new authority, die in mass. And it would be in every state, and some states will take stonger stand than others, like Texas. The Waco was brought up, anyone remember the officers being shot off the roof? I wonder what the reaction of the Feds would be when trying to enforce this law brought about the deaths of a few thousands police officers. I do not care what the elite media thinks, most people know they have sold out to the left a long time ago. They do not have any credibility, and I would not put it past some people, they would become targets too.

I know this is a dangerous topic, but if this government tries to build a new oligarchy not based on the US Constitution, all bets are off.

Americans pissed? Not so much I'm afraid. Especially if you consider that they just got done reelecting the same assclowns who helped created the mess they find themselves in. Oh wait, they are so mad at the congress that has the lowest approval rating (ever) and elected more just like the leaders! That's how pissed they are! Home values down, economy circling the bowl, a trillion dollar bail out of the financial institutions who allowed this to happen and the (pissed off) people reelected the same folks who brought all that to their door...if that is what the American people do when they are pissed off at congress then you can almost bet on a gun ban coming from them figuring that it would make the people so angry they would give them a raise!

As for Waco...sure they were firing back at the invaders. And they were burned to death for it. What didn't happen was government bureaucrats going to jail for that little escapade. Some citizens were outraged, but federal agents never went missing. BATFE and the FBI got a minor black eye over the incident but both organizations are just as powerful today as they ever have been...pissed off citizens had absolutely NO effect on these guys...it's business as usual and more importantly they know it. In fact it is common knowledge that the United States government can kick it's citizens around almost at will and virtually nobody will say boo shit about it...particularly if they are kicking around a relatively small segment who have already been somewhat demonized. Not only did the FBI and BATFE step WAY over the line at Waco and suffer no ill consequences for their troubles, but congress had the temerity to pass an "assault weapons ban" not too long after that whole mess. Again, gun owners were pissed (and rightfully so) and NOTHING happened...the majority of American's just couldn't be bothered enough to care...shit, most folks were on the government's side during the Waco fiasco...or have we all forgotten that little fact in the intervening years.

And let's be perfectly clear about something. LEOs and soldiers will be the pawns doing the dirty work on the front lines. Expendable pawns. Do you think for even one single moment that a thousand dead pawns will give the rule makers even a moments pause? If so then you obviously haven't really thought this thing through. Past and present military members? If you are pinning your hopes on them being outraged and joining the cause of the oppressed you are in for a great big disappointment. Some might choose to do the right thing, most will just sit it out and not get involved and more than you can ever imagine will actively work for the enemy. More than half of the veterans I personally know believe that nobody needs or should have guns in their home...CCW - forget it...assault rifles - completely out of the question. These are VETERANS...just like me...only not so much. MORE THAN HALF! I can't possibly know all of the left leaning anti-gun veterans in the country...or my state...or the city I live in. Which means there are lots more veterans out there just like the ones I know.

All I know is that I DO NOT WANT ANY KIND OF CIVIL WAR! I want my government to leave me the hell alone...I would be perfectly content if they never knew I existed, but because that ship has already sailed I would be just as happy if they forgot all about me. I'm sure most contributors here feel the same. I certainly don't want a fight with the government and you can be sure that I will not start one. This new regime is going to do it's level best to get away with everything it possibly can...the constitution be damned. Everybody is going to have to make up their own mind what their personal point of no return will be. The one thing that the .gov is counting on is that those points of no return will not be coordinated and that they can easily pick citizens off one by one while frightening the rest of the resisters into compliance...make a few examples and the rest will fall in line. And this is certainly not a safe place to discuss coordination...if such a place even exists.

I for one will not allow the Federal Governemnt take my guns or any of my rights away without a fight. If that means living off the grid in a mountain shack in the woods, I will do it.

will you still feel the same when they inform you that if you do not comply, then your mom/dad/sister/daughter/brother will disappear?
