Still, those six should be out of a job after the next Republican primary. We need to find conservative challengers in their districts and back them to the hilt. This should be a career-ending move on their parts.

That bill's PRINCIPAL sponsor is Mark Kirk from IL, which would stand to lose a whole bunch of firearm manufacturing facilities in Illinois if it was re-enacted and broadened.

At one point during his career he was a normal Republican with a military background with a conservationist bent. He's gotten really chummy with enviroweenies in the past few years, though, as more Democrats have flocked into his district. Combine that with lots of impatient people who wanted the war to end in Iraq shortly after it began in 2003 and you've got a Republican whose constituents are calling to replace him unless he starts acting like a liberal.
