I hope you realize I'm green with envy!

A gun is a tool, Marian; no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.

That, a large hat, a lot of water, sunscreen, and a nice, comfortable cushion.

heh. I often forget the current state of my hairline and the need for hat til after the damage is done. Actually scabbed up the scalp once this summer. That was first, didn't even burn my ears too bad in boot camp like some fella's did.
Once the red on my pate clears it make for a good bit of SoCal color -- just like when I was surfing 2x day.
In my mind I'm still 30, with a full head of hair (and 70 lbs lighter). 'Course when I do wear my sweatstained cowboy hat, my kids wince and the neighbors are amused. Cityfolk...
Another 20 tons of aggregate coming today, D.V.

Sweet. I would like to lay holt of enough land to justify laying holt of a Farmall H, and then lay holt of a Farmall H.
My cousins have a Ford 4000 I believe they're looking to sell. A 4000 is more tractor than I expect to need.

Dad and I just bought a 1953 Harry Ferguson tractor, with bushhog, for pasture maintenance here at Rancho Imperfecto this summer. No power nothin' on it, and a live PTO, it's interesting. Still runs good, and the hydraulics are in great shape. It's great for what we needed a tractor to do.

I learned to drive on a vintage H when I was(IIRC) 12.
Gonna get me one eventually. Even where I know where one is sitting not far from here..

My "first ever" experience as a kid was driving a Farmall Cub -- pulling the haywagon at walking pace while getting spelled from throwing bales. 2 or 3 miles an hour and a pure adolescent adrenaline high.
