Dude, any song with a backing vocal by Bootsy Collins gets automatic awesome points. The man is a Funk deity.

P.S. I dare you to watch the video.

Yep, those are both prime examples of pure killin' music. However, each one has its place.

"Falling Down" style rampage? "Don't Worry Be Happy" fits the bill.

Surrounded by generic thugs/ zombies/ low-level yakuza/ Russian mafia in a warehouse with only a pair of Beretta 92s to defend yourself? "Groove Is In The Heart" will make short work of them.

Zombie bears in gimp masks and Chicom red star caps? "Tiptoe Through The Tulips." You'll win even with a dodgy Jennings in .25ACP.
Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."

“PET PARENTS?” You’re not a “pet parent.” You’re a pet owner. Unless you’ve committed an unnatural act that succeeded in spite of biology. - Glenn Reynolds

Stumbled across one I'd not heard in a while. The most beautiful, haunting melody I've ever heard.

The Lonesome Boatman

Can't you tell I like Trad arrangements :)
Oh, the heads that turn
Make my back burn
And those heads that turn
Make my back, make my back burn

Nanci Griffith.

Love her music unashamedly, but she got too open with her political views and BDS. At least she'll never earn a penny from me, since I only bought her LP's (yes, LP's) and CD's at used record store.

Aside from political stuff about supporting one's enemies, I would never feel guilty about the music I enjoy. Might not recommend all of it to everyone, as there are different tastes, but I'll proudly stand by what I listen to, without apologies.

But then, I don't listen to Abba.
