The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

Seriously.

They make a bunch of Sharps rifles, including a "Creedmoor"(chambered in 45/70, grumble, grumble) and a minisharps. They make 1886s. They make a Mares leg. They make a Spencer in 56/50 for pete's sake! What really caught my eye was the 1887s - they offer a pistol grip one..

Guess I'm the only one who hates the Rhino and is interested in their repros.

I've seen the Rhino, and a few of their other guns. I'm not terribly impressed with either.
They do have some repro gun models that other companies don't, and that makes it tempting, but personally I'd rather go with Uberti or Pedersoli, even if I have to get other guns.
Just my personal opinion though.

I'd love to get one of the 1886s, but I'd rather have something other than a .45-70. A Creedmore in .45-120 would be sweet, although I don't really have a use for one. Not really cranked up about the Sharps, mainly because the hammer is on the wrong side for a southpaw, and I can barely wave bye-bye right-handed.

HERESY! Thou shalt have thine Creedmoor in 44 caliber, and no other, lest ye be smited!

I was intrigued, but I've never actually come across any of Chiappia's stuff in my shops. Having heard some iffy tales about the quality of the product, it was tough to get to excited.

Who says we can't be uninterested in both?
