Can someone make me an MHI patch graphic ?

That reminds me of Autocad - at least Rev 10-13 anyway. In fact, Gimp is the only program I've come across that was more user hostile than Autocad was, which is saying something.

I learned Autocad on version 10, and actually liked it. Basically ruined me for being able to use any other 2d cad software. When I first switched to the mac I tried several of the free cad packages, and ended up throwing my hands up in disgust. Haven't drawn anything in cad since I got rid of my last PC, that had an old version of autocad on it.

I think the ultimate in lousy interfaces is the freeware 3D modelling program called Blender. I tried it when I was working on 3D models of classic racing cars and I literally could not make it do anything at all.
I'm usually OK with 3D modelling progams and I'm pretty experienced with 3D CAD, but Blender completely stumped me.

Oh it's a terribly powerful program, but the way it did things.. Yeesh. My personal favorites was how to trim two intersecting lines so they form a corner - you'd think it would be under "trim" right? Nope - the simplest way was to use "fillet" with a radius of zero.

And oh, I hated release 13, it was slower and buggier than 12, and I hated the white background, much preferring the black of 12. About the only thing it did better from my perspective was it was Windows instead of DOS like Release 12.

Gimp is a typical fuckup perpetrated by Unix nerds, nothing makes any sense at all. It's like that Vi text editor which you can't quit without rebooting the machine unless you know the cryptic key combination to shut it down.
Fucking computer hippies. The next time I meet one of those Dungeons and Dragons idiots he'd better have a good reason why I don't punch him in the throat
So it's not just me, then. :)

Surprisingly, I managed to get a not-entirely-awful rendition of my Playmaker Football team helmet (ladies and gentlemen, your Detroit Dukes for UFL 15!) produced in Gimp.

Needs work yet, but I got it further than I thought I could. It's really no worse than Photoshop, or not much worse anyway.

For Alaska. I'm not so good with mutant zombie bears so you get a sabertooth version.
