It depends on the nature of the emergency you're preparing for. Most people will prepare for mild power outages and the like, but not for outright disasters.

Hostas... I'm not a fan of them and the house we've moved into has them. You dig, take as many as you want. They are very healthy, solid green leaves. I'd say there are about 20 full size clumps- about 1 foor diameter, the leaves on these plants are huge. There are some lilies planted with them that I want to keep and do not want dug up, otherwise have at it.

The bloody page is in Catalan instead of Spanish for some reason, but using my advanced language skills ( I know one word of Catalan and that's a soccer cheer ) I found the free section. Which contains...nada :D
