At no time was NPR being an ass. Thus far, at all times, you have been.
Sometimes the joke is even better when it sails right past the jokee. And what's even better than that, is when a guy who's been here for nearly a year, and in that time has chosen to grace us with a grand total of 8 posts, including the 5 so far in this thread, gets all butt-hurt over the joke, and starts crying about the forum rules to people who have been together on said forum for eight effing years, through any number of server and/or domain changes.

I don't necessarily care for all of your views or your way of expressing them, but even so, you deserve a more worthy apprentice than Obi-Whine here. The force is weak in this one.

Now that right there is funny.

I had no idea you were on that boat. A good friend of mine was also on board when it blew. You might even know him. Drop me a line, would ya"?

They have ALOT of peoples DNA..
So do the dish towels under my couch. What's your point?
Your dish towels are not going to clone you and then train your clone to assassinate you and take your place.

Mike,
I did time on the Kalamazoo. The sampling thing was a navy wide reaction to the explosion and aftermath. We did have a guy in deck division that was supposedly on the Iowa. BM2 Funk.

That's honestly kind of sad when you think about it. But at least the vast majority of those posts haven't been spent whining about one other member, who hurt my tender feelings. That would be really pathetic.

Ah. I thought that was a reference to "I Am Number Four." My kids really liked that movie, but I didn't see the connection.

Understood. Next time I talk to him, I'll ask if he knows BM2 Funk.

Well, I was trying to make a joke .... a "The Prisoner" reference. But I guess jokes are not always appreciated/understood. ;-)
