It was about 4 weeks the staffers kept her gagged and tried to keep her on their RINO talking points. They lost all the traction from the convention during that time and she got beat up.

Finally they unleashed her and it got really interesting. Her instincts proved to be great.

they have been talking about "unnamed sources" for a month now... until a name comes out, i dont believe it...

I absolutely believe it, particularly after the way she threw Walt Monegan and other Alaskans under the bus during the campaign. There is a lot of bad feeling up here for the way her minions were slandering good Alaskans while she was off campaigning elsewhere, and for how the McCain people basically tried to take over functions of the governor's office in dealing with the Troopergate fiasco, the investigation of which was an ongoing concern long before Palin was named as McCain's running mate.

Furthermore, she is NOT a conservative, and I'm getting tired of people saying that. MAYBE socially she is, but she has governed as a tax and spend liberal, having implemented the highest taxes of any oil producing region of the world. That is having a negative effect on new investment in development here, particularly as oil prices fall. Meanwhile, although the state seemed to be flush with cash at the time, only months after she gave away an additional $1200 to each man, woman, and child, the drop in the price of crude oil means that state revenues have now fallen below the point where we'll have a budget shortfall.

McCain STILL hasn't said a word about these attacks which mean one of two things. Either she was as bad as is being talked about, or McCain is trying to throw her under the bus so he isn't blamed for the screwup. I'm voting second, and Netpackrat, if nothing else you have to admire her for being loyal enough NOT to badmouth McCain over this.
