Yo.
Green Day(from their early stuff on, though it was certainly "light" punk if you can call it that)
Also, please subject me to your "punishment."

Come to think of it, punishment deserved for thinking Social Destruction is punk - its not bad, but its really more like aerosmith/other soft rock than anything else...

The beginnings of Punk... Although a badly processed version...

Yee F%*%(G Haw... But, again, lousy production values... If that doesn't make your teeth grow, nothing will...

Mostly, poppy stuff, but the chorus A) imperils your soul, B) makes me somehow want combine strongman and shooting open - which is exactly the state of mind punk should induce...

Punk is about enjoying violence... Metal can be, surprisingly, religious in many instances.
And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm Reliance on the Protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our Fortunes, & our sacred Honor

Search and Destroy...

That was the design on the gas tank of the first chopper I built - the background was basically the Apocalypse Now film poster.

While I LOVE the Chilis, and their covers generally own (I actually prefer Chilis "higher ground" over Stevies... and that's saying something)... Dude, no; the Stooges are WAY better on this one (and Raw Power is one of the greatest albums PERIOD).

Though the production (on the original. The 1997 Bruce Dickinson remaster was great), and the bass are definitely better on the Chilis cover... Flea is Flea and Ron Asheton... Isn't (or, rather, wasn't)...
We'll have to differ on this one, I still like the RHCP cover better, but that's just my personal opinion. However I do like the live versions better than the original recording for sure, so it's not a wide gap in difference now.

Still checking out a few of the bands you mentioned I haven't listened to before(Television, New York Dolls, Dead Boys, & Bad Brains). Any particular song from Television you recommend? Not really feeling that into them.
