Range Report: CZ 452 American .22 WMR

I took the 452 American in .22 WMR to the range tonight for its shakeout run. I have a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 scope on the rifle, mounted with Burris rings. All shots were taken from rest position at 25 yds, using CCI Maxi Mag solid ammunition. I was a bit concerned when I started, the guy at Sportsmans Warehouse who mounted and boresighted the scope said he'd reached the limit of up adjustment to get it sighted in. His boresight must have been off, I found when I started shooting that it was hitting quite high and to the right. I got the gun dialed in on paper (and got back a lot of up adjustment, so that's good), and then shot several groups for accuracy. Wow, what a great shooter it is! The trigger is lighter and crisper than my 452 Lux, the gun handles well, it had no issues of any sort. I think I have a new favorite amongst all my CZs. I managed a best group that could be covered with a quarter, without one flier (I jerked, and knew at once I had a flier) the group could be covered with a dime. Maybe no great shakes at 25 yds for a rifle, but I'm happy with it, and am looking forward to taking it to the outdoor range to stretch its legs. The Burris scope works well too, it's my first of that brand and I'm quite pleased with it. All in all, I'd rate the gun as wonderful, I'm just tickled pink with it.

Gotta love that .22WMR. Actually, I have the exact same scope on my Savage .22WMR, and I quite like it.
