Funny you mention that. One of the rules at the club I flew from was that commercial pilots who came to hire a Cessna had to prove they were current on the type ( i.e. they had flown one recently, don't know if 'current' is a US aviation term ) or take a check ride first.
This was instituted after one too many airline pilots started the landing flare at their normal eyepoint above the ground ( 20 or 30 feet higher than a Cessna :D ) and nearly ended up in the river or the trees, depending on runway direction...

One actually did it while I was there, but being in the circuit and concentrating on bringing my X-15 in to a deadstick landing on the dry lake ( might actually have been a Cessna 152 :D ) I missed all the fun...

That and they're probably used to having just a LITTLE BIT MORE POWER at hand than something already operating at maximum throttle and altitude density (in other words, ANYTHING goes wrong - you're going in!!)!!

No shit........
Pilots have their 10% just like everyone else, and I'm sorry, but you're stuck with them just like the rest of us are stuck with our's. ;)
Ugh. Preach it buddy. We're still trying to piece together a 207 because somebody tried to do a roll over the top of one of our aircraft.

And since only ONE PILOT is alive to tell what happened (as long as it coincided with the crash/aircraft impact evidence), then she could say whatever she wanted - although I doubt she'd be so inclined to lie unless there were significant reasons to do so - certainly MORE than some guy trying to impress a female so he *might* be able to get into her shorty-shorts/panties. After all, guys have done DUMBER things in the name of "Love".

I remember that one. Guy trying to impress his girlfriend, as I recall.

Most of them would also take offense at being referred to as 'stunt' pilots.

Finally watched the video. It was painful watching the eternal takeoff roll, off the strip and through the meadow, then the ground effect cruise into the woods... wondering "so when is he going to DO something to avoid his impending self-induced doom"?
