"Yer honor, the bench was brandishing itself and approaching me with intent to do violence upon my person."

"Do violence?"

"Splinters, yer honor. Splinters."
Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."

I remember a tale told to me by a Dallas Deputy Sheriff. He'd had an exciting shift and he was in the locker room getting ready to put stuff up when he looked down and he noticed his Sig was hammer back. Gave him the huzz because procedure was to use the hammer drop safety in a safe direction before holstering. He'd been riding around and everything with it ready to go and he was used to the double action first shot. Way to close to a ND so he started practicing more on putting the piece on safety before holstering.
