It's going to be using "Champions" for the game system, though, which means character creation math that makes GURPS: Vehicles look warm & fuzzy. (Kinda fits, what with Owen being an accountant and all...) I'll still be buying it once it comes out, mainly to pillage it & port it over to GURPS for my gaming group.

From the press release:
“It gives the fans a chance to learn more about the book, show their support, and earn some great rewards in the process. We’re still deciding on some of the rewards, but we know the highest support tiers will include the chance to appear as a character in a future MHI novel.”
Suddenly, I have buyer's remorse over my car.

Champions? Meh. Funny thing is, the basic mechanics for a MHI style game have already been done, by Palladium of all people - See Beyond the Supernatural.

Never before has the difference between an exclamatory and declarative sentence been more important.

"He's coming out with an RPG."
A soon-to-be-released role playing game based on his books will be offered for sale.

"He's coming out with an RPG!"
A gentleman carrying a rocket-propelled grenade just exited Buffalo Wild Wings.
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.
