hats/headware

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

Most definitely a fez.
Put a couple of pouches or MOLLE straps on it, make it black or coyote brown and voila! Tactical fez!
I seem to recall a fez being worn by one of "Oddball's" tank crew in the movie "Kelly's Heroes".

I typically wear baseball caps(none of the "trucker" kind though) in the summer and a short beanie(Just enough to cover the top half of the ears) in the winter. I have a boonie style hat with an extra wide brim I use for shooting on firing lines, probably good for working in the sun too.

I'm starting to get a small collection of baseball caps that I never wear since I tend to only wear 2-3 throughout the year. I'll only wear it if the band in the back is velcro or has no band at all. And people keep giving them to me...

I also have a black felt stetson, which I haven't worn since the last time I went CAS. I don't think there are many types of hats that looks good on me anyway.

Nice hat! I suppose they gave you a rental car with Paris (75) plates. If you were in Paris and I didn't hear about it, there will be ructions!!! 8-)
Yeah, that trip was to attend Forum-21 and a little side trip with my CFO (pictured) to Florence because we could.

I typically don't wear hats. It makes it more difficult for female strangers who walk up to me and want to run their fingers through my thick, luscious hair.

However, I have been looking for a good hat to wear while golfing, and this thread has been very useful. I just bought a Tilley LTM6 about 30 seconds ago.

Thanks.
