Happy birthday country AND my son who turns 25 today.
one can be a Democrat, or one can choose to be an American.

Re: Happy birthday, USA!
I have my flag flying outside, Sam Adams in the fridge, kabobs & steaks thawing, and squash from my garden to fry!
It would be perfect if it weren't for the recent break-in, but I will celebrate anyway, can't let it get me down! I am grateful for the freedoms I have, thanks to those before me that declared independance from an oppressive regent & offered their lives for it! Especially Great(x6) Grandpa Lutson who fought for it!
G-d Bless America!

Happy birthday to us. May we remember and uphold our republic and our principles.
Had a pretty quiet holiday here... did an early run to Wally World before it got hot. Made my mom's strawberry jello cake for dinner/dessert, as well as some baked beans to go with bratwurst and hot dogs. No fireworks allowed this year due to the high fire danger, so it hardly seems like the Fourth. Science Channel has run a Firefly marathon all day, which seems kinda fitting for the holiday. Back to work tomorrow.
