*shrug*

It's still illegal to go in there if it's not yours.

Nope. Not once. Of course, the area in which I live has people with problems playing well with others.
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

It doesn't matter if the door is swinging wide open on its hinges, it's still illegal for someone to enter it, unless that house belongs to that person, or that person has been invited in.

Locks and fences only keep honest people out.

There is no private residence completely safe from intrusion.

All you can do with private property is force the intruder to exchange time and noise for entrance. Case in point: "track bars." I have wood dowel or PVC pipe in the lower track of every window and sliding glass door in my house. Could someone still enter by throwing a rock through the glass, smash a man-sized hole through it, and walk in? Sure. But you've forced him to trade time and noise for entrance, and those are two things your average intruder isn't willing to do. He wants fast and quiet, so he'll move on.

I have other systems in place, but remember: all you're doing is forcing the intruder to give up time and noise.
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

Kind of like having a companion when being chased by a bear. I don't necessarily need to be impossible to break into, just more difficult than the guy down the street.
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".
