Re: Attack of the cuteness...
A doe left one of her fawns in my parents' neighbor's mulch pile/ attempted landscaping next to their driveway. Adorable thing. We had to keep the little kids in the neighborhood away from it. It was as much for the fawn's health as the kids' health. The attempted landscaping includes a large covering of mulch, an ornamental shade tree, and large barberry bushes. As far as a deer goes, its logic was impeccable: put the adorable thing in a safe spot where there's shade, thorns for protection against predation, comfortable bedding, and a bunch of humans who won't let the adorable thing get hurt. Half of the people in the subdivision are hunters, so they looked at it as either not in season or a sign that the deer are getting too used to humans. the other half of the residents split into "knows nothing about wild animals" and "Let's hug a wild animal TODAY!" types.
Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."

We actually rounded up another one today. This one was a bit older, but skinny, malnourished, and covered in ticks. No pics yet, but she was wrapped in a poncho liner while we pulled ticks off her. She was in a puddle in a more built-up area, and didn't move when the Marines approached. We'll find a better place for her and keep her out of the training areas.

Just superglue a piccatinny rail to her and strap on an acog. She'll fit right in.JAG2955 wrote:We actually rounded up another one today. All I have to say is that's a terrible dinner pic - no utensils or condiments, and the meal appears to be undercooked.

HTRN, I would tell you that you are an evil fucker, but you probably get that a lot ~ Netpackrat
