The nice thing about a watch HE WEARS is that every time he looks at it, he can be reminded of your friendship and generosity. The same thing applies if he's a smoker and uses the gift Zippo to light his pleasure.

Does he have any other CONSISTENT habits which you may be able to provide a gift relating to that habit which would make him think of your friendship?

BTW, I'd appreciate it if you let us know what you decided upon, and a picture of it (it might give others thinking the same thing ideas of what it might look like).
