When a residential burglar fired a gun at Jay Leone last month, he was initially too angry to realize he had been shot in the head, he testified Friday.
"To tell you the truth, I never felt a thing," said Leone, 90, of Greenbrae. "I said, 'F—- you, you son of a bitch, now it's my turn.'"
Whereupon he shot five bullets at the suspect from his .38-caliber Smith & Wesson snubnose revolver, hitting the burglar three times in the abdomen.
The goblin survived, but other than that a nice cheer me up story.
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".
Honestly, the guy is quite lucky to be alive. The goblin seems to have lost heart and fled after a misfire that would have ended poorly for our hero. He gets full marks for hard headedness and gumption, but needs to work on shot placement. I'm happy it ended well enough anyway.
I can see the headline over at Brady Center now: Robber takes gun from victim, the gun misfires and robber flees, because he didn't really want to kill in the first place.
The robber, whose I.Q. may not exceed his hat size, probably remembered that scene in Dirty Harry where Harry asks the murderer if he shot 6 shots or 5, and thought HE would be lucky if he got ahold of the gun.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

And then he calls for help claiming he'd shot himself in the abdomen (THREE times). Bright boy, that one.
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad
