The Olympics this summer...
When you come across the 509th hour of synchronized swimming, remember that somewhere, this hoss will be doing something remarkable...

Yeah, but that's about 496 pounds over his head, EASILY... And, I'm guessing he's only about 280 maybe 290

I was going to say something negative about how useful that talent is in everyday life, but decided against it. After-all, it IS a SIGNIFICANT physical achievement (one I'll NEVER perform), but pushes the human performance envelope that much further.Aglifter wrote:Yeah, but that's about 496 pounds over his head, EASILY... POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

Not much in the way of Olympic sports, aside from gymnastics, running, and swimming which would be useful in everyday life.
With that said, that level of physical power changes the idea of "martial arts" significantly. Men that strong cannot be put into arm-holds, leveraged, etc.

I figured it would be the video of the weightlifter shitting on his coach during the lift.

Why would anyone want to watch that? (It's a bit odd, that there's pressure on the bowels in the bottom position is something most lifters learn pretty early on)

Aglifter: What does putting that kind of strain on your body do to it long term? I note his knees were wrapped. Is it a case of not whether something will go pop, but when?
