S&W Model 60-10

Post by martini »

So I went in to my local gun pusher and saw a 3" Model 60-10, no lock revolver that is a police trade. It is jframe .357 and if felt great in my hand. They are asking $459 plus tax for it. While I would love to have it as my first .357 and I really dig the proportions with the 3" barrel, the question comes to mind is "is it a reasonable price?"

That seems a little high for a used revolver. However used wheel guns esp. S&W, Colt are all out of sight now from just a couple of years ago.

No lock with a 3" barrel? I'd pay it and be happy.

I don't think that is an outrageous price for a S&W 60-10. My experience with police trade-ins has been that they are in good mechanical shape but have seldom been cleaned. I have bought a couple from Summit and am happy with them,(after giving them a good cleaning).

A few years ago I would say pass, now I say grab it and be happy.
