Used Eddie Eagle today on PBS station

Post by Rod »

I was asked by the Education Director at the Museum of History to appear with her on a locally produced PBS show. We were talking about El Paso history in three shows. The second show starred ME dressed in my period clothing and talking guns, gunfights, and El Paso. I had a modern replica of the SAA and three pocket pistols ranging from 1884 to 1896. The guns were never handled but were shown on display. The first thing I did was recite the three Eddie Eagle steps then we continued. The host, 15 minutes later, asked the kids what the rules were and they remembered. Gave me a warm glow that I'd infiltrated the enemy camp and succeeded.

You did a GREAT JOB in helping to protect kids and their families from potentially tragic accidents from kids finding and playing with firearms!! You may have actually saved a life or two, since I keep reading about kids STILL accidentally shooting other kids or themselves, with about one in two dying in the process.

So I doff my NRA hat to you, Rod, for helping to make some kids and their families a little bit safer (and no one dying)!! 8-) 8-) 8-) :D :D A GREAT JOB OVERALL!!
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

Here's the episode.

I appear in this one also as an assistant to the education director.

The puppetmaster is a gun collector and ccw holder also. We had fun talking before the show.
