Wash. woman accused of using power saw on husband

Post by 308Mike »

Linkyroo - it's probably a GOOD thing he didn't have an accessible firearm or large knives nearby otherwise he might be dead. I mean, WHO grabs a Sawzall to try and cut someone's head off while they're sleeping - don't you think they might wake up on hearing the saw right next to their head???? He would have never heard a knife or gun giving a warning (unless it was a pump or lever gun).

EVERETT, Wash. — Police in Everett, Wash., say a woman is accused of cutting her sleeping husband's neck and shoulder with a power saw.

Officers who arrived at the home say they could hear the man shouting: "You tried to cut my head off. You're going to jail."

The Daily Herald reports the 43-year-old woman appeared in court Monday on a charge of domestic violence assault and a judge kept her bail at $250,000. The newspaper did not identify her.

Police say the woman told officers she grabbed the reciprocating saw Friday night because an intruder escaped out her daughter's window.

Sgt. Robert Goetz says there was no evidence of an intruder and a child lock prevented the window from opening more than a few inches.

The 36-year-old man was treated at a hospital.

And from the HuffingPuffingPost:
The 36-year-old victim reportedly told police that he awoke to find his wife cutting his throat with a Sawzall -- a power tool that can cut through wood, plastic and even metal, if outfitted with the right blade.

The man, who sustained cuts to his neck and upper shoulder, also told investigators that his 43-year-old wife attacked him with a hatchet.
If she'd started with the hatchet, he'd probably be dead. Thank God for power tools!! ;) ;)
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

I have one of these bad boys: http://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-6538-21 ... 444&sr=8-5

Throw it on the orbital setting and add a 12" carbide tipped demo blade and I bet I could get through a neck in 10 seconds or less. She was just using inferior tools!
