Anybody watch "TerraNova" tonight?

Yeah, too many nonsensical scabs on the plot for me. I was yelling at the TV the whole time, yeah, the kids love that.
The babes and the guns don't halfway make up for the moronic plot devices. And, way too many "Oo, look, another inexplicable mystery that may make sense later".
If time, chance and random process can produce a platypus why not an ammo tree?

4. Weapons. As HTRN pointed out, ridiculous. The major threat is multiton carnivorous dinosaurs, and they're using subcaliber carbines? WTF??? Try some bolt-actions in .375 H&H, guys. Or those McCann Industries Garands in .458 WinMag.
Well, then, they'd run into lots of small monsters. Or big monsters that turn into lots of smaller monsters.
The avalanche has already started. It is too late for the pebbles to vote.

Yeah, this show is officially too stupid to be borne. $10 says this crap runs at least 3 seasons on the same network that cancelled Firefly before the first dozen episodes aired >_<

smart script writing especially in sci fi is almost never a populist show. Cult hit but not a big ratings grabber. It takes stupid to compete with stupid ... to pull people away from Survivor etc ...
