Pics of Evyl Robot holster

Post by Netpackrat »

Meant to post these a while ago, and came across them today going through a folder on my laptop. These are the cross draw holster and speed loader holder that I had Michael make for my brother's Combat Magnum (S&W model 19) .357 last fall, which I presented to him for Christmas. This revolver is difficult to find a good non-custom holster for, because of the 6.5" barrel, and being a late 70s production unit with recessed chambers and a pinned and recessed barrel, it really deserves better than a mass produced holster. I think we've achieved that here:

I had him throw them on with whatever belt he was wearing, so I could take the pix, but tucking in his shirt was too much trouble...

Very nice, ER does a good job.

And, ya' don't start tucking in tee-shirts until you pass 50. It's some kind of rule or something. :?
If time, chance and random process can produce a platypus why not an ammo tree?

He's doing one for me as we speak...well maybe not quite as we speak, as it's early there, but I think he's just waiting on snaps. I can't wait to see it, it should be a one of a kind. If anyone's curious about how far he's willing to go to make you happy, you should see the email trail that he and I have on the design of my holster.

Evyl Robot, do you think it is possible to do a thigh mount holster for my S&W 500 Magnum? It's just the bare bones model with the 8 3/8" barrel and no mods. I currently have a DeSanti shoulder holster, but that's only really useful when I'm in chest waders fly fishing...

Considering that's pretty much the only thing your .500 is useful for, maybe you should stick with what you have for it...
