Nice. If you guys liked this, you might get a kick out of "Todd in the Shadows" pop music reviews. Just found out about him the other night and just about died laughing.

Heck, remember when Electric Light Orchestra got caught lip synching during a concert? Put 'em out of business, IIRC.

I recall when ELO played at the San Diego Sports Arena. It was a GREAT concert (around 1976-79 or so), IIRC, and since they were doing a lot of ad-libbing, I SERIOUSLY doubt they were lip-synching since that would have thrown EVERYTHING off timing-wise. They had this gleaming white-painted cello or upright bass and hit it with a green laser while he was spinning it, and that green laser beam started arcing all around the inside of the Sports Arena (heavily filled with LOTS of smoke from all those folks toking up - and if you weren't toking up, you'd likely be getting a contact high anyway - it was THAT thick, so might as well go all the way and just smoke some too) - and that green laser beam flashing through the heavy smoke inside the arena was simply AWESOME!! It was especially so because it was coming off the spinning BRIGHT WHITE musical instrument being spun in the hands of one of the musicians.

It was simply OUTFUCKINGSTANDING!!!!

If you were lip-synching, ANY improvisation would likely throw off everyone else's lip-synching, so I would figure it probably wasn't done unless it was during some kind of drum solo or something like that.

But what do I know, I haven't been involved in the music scene since the late 1970's-early 1980's, when I was in three different rock bands playing bass guitar (and renting out my amp/speakers to make some extra money).
