New Lube - Too Good to be True?

Post by workinwifdakids »

Here [GunThing link] we did a good job tentatively putting some unobtanium ammo to rest, and Chris gave it a centered kick to the nuts on his blog.

So, there’s a new product in town we can have fun with! A new gun lubricant, based on non-detonating nanodiamonds that are apparently smaller than a crushed plutonium proton’s little sister after she got thrown under a bus. The method of action is that you put one drop on your firearm, it floods your house with vegetable oil with enough viscosity to roll the earth right off its axis, every orifice in your body becomes so viscous that lawn furniture floats undisturbed through your digestive track, and your firearms actually have a trigger pull so light that simply staring at them causes them to fire full auto.

Here’s a thread on TFL (no reg required) where the alleged trademark and copyright holder is defending his product against the onslaught of unbelievers.

3...2...1...GO!
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

If the responses to that thread are any indication, it seems that it is a perfectly serviceable lube.

What I would cast doubt on is the "nanodiamond" crap. He claims buckyballs (C60) won't work because they are "hallow", and then he says that his are C2000. That's bullshit.

You guys want a good cheap basic lube for firearms?

Buy Turbine oil - Mcmaster Carr has it for under $20 a gallon.

HTRN, I would tell you that you are an evil fucker, but you probably get that a lot ~ Netpackrat
