This just screams for someone who wants to me a "community organizer"....

A few updates...
Ersland reportedly paid his attorney in guns (didn't have $100k lying around) and the judge didn't like that very much.
http://www.concurringopinions.com/archi ... -guns.html
I've heard, but don't have a link, that the mother is now charged in that she and her boyfriend put the boy up to the robbery.
I've also heard that there were groups of protestors outside the pharmacy chanting that Ersland is a racist. (Like Antwun Parker would be any less dead if he were white.)
My comments:
Unless a video showing the actions of Parker become available, proving that he was not a threat will be Very Difficult for a prosecutor. A wounded man can be as dangerous or more than one who isn't.
Parker already showed his disregard for the life of someone who wasn't attacking him so Ersland is - to me - justified in taking Parker's life in pretty much any manner he sees fit. (...and come on! It's not like he put Parker's head on a pike in front of the pharmacy is it?)
Ersland is the one really getting screwed out of this.

An anonymous donor paid his bail, was the initial report. The way the community has supported the Pharmacist makes me think the chance of a conviction is nil. I loved the original quote from the dead thug's mother. "He didn't have to shoot my baby like that." I look forward to seeing her on the next episode of Jerry Springer.
Anybody want to bet that the local gangbangers will be choosing another Pharmacy for their next crime attempt?

Polite and civilized society does not have an answer to feral youth.
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

Depends on your definition. If you go by "An armed society is a polite society", then society does, in fact, have an answer to feral youth.workinwifdakids wrote:Polite and civilized society does not have an answer to feral youth.
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

Yah know, if they did that, it might discourage would be thugs.Parker already showed his disregard for the life of someone who wasn't attacking him so Ersland is - to me - justified in taking Parker's life in pretty much any manner he sees fit. (...and come on! It's not like he put Parker's head on a pike in front of the pharmacy is it?)
If that's the case, then she deserved to be shot instead of her son.I've heard, but don't have a link, that the mother is now charged in that she and her boyfriend put the boy up to the robbery.
They already had some fuckwit from the NAACP saying that. Of course, when if comes so the NAACP claiming that some thug who got himself killed because he picked the wrong business to rob is the victim of a racist hate crime, well, I don't give a rat's ass. There's always some mouthpiece from the NAACP popping up and saying that.I've also heard that there were groups of protestors outside the pharmacy chanting that Ersland is a racist. (Like Antwun Parker would be any less dead if he were white.)

The avalanche has already started. It is too late for the pebbles to vote.

The 2 adults that sent the kids into the store were convicted of 1st degree murder... The pharmacist is still pending trial.
An interesting legal question occurs to me... If the pharmacist is found to have acted in lawful self defense, making what happened not a murder... Then do the two that were just convicted get their convictions overturned on appeal. How can you be tried for murder if the "victim" was not murdered but killed as a justified homicide?
Not that I think that these two should get anything other than a speedy execution, just an interesting legal question...

His trial starts May 16.

It looks like the Judge is trying to rig the trial. The usual way, by excluding evidence, etc. God Bless America!
