The so-called ordinary decent criminal. They don't tend to fare so well around here.

It's not like what Al Capone or the other guys did for their neighborhoods, by paying for large feasts during the holidays, buying schoolbooks for the kids, 'fixing' some of the neighborhood problems which were too insignificant for the local government dickheads to get involved in, etc., etc. For MANY of these folks, the local crooks were almost like Saints. They'd listen to their problems when nobody else would - and they'd take care of business.

Review many of the newsreels of the time and newspapers, you'll see that Al Capone was MUCH more than a simple 'gangster' - as were MANY of the other mobsters. They were VERY SMART regarding how they went about their business - they didn't mess with people who weren't involved in their business. And to stick your nose into their business could be VERY expensive indeed!!

When innocent bystanders wound up getting involved and such, that's when things REALLY started to go downhill, as well as the bloodbath for the St. Valentines Massacre. People were getting tired of the bloodshed, so they enacted the 1934 GCA (buncha' bastards ho couldn't realize they were ONLY effecting those who CHOSE to obey the law!!), what a failure that was, but instead of fixing or repealing it, they made it worse over the years and never once realizing the ONLY people who're going to follow it are the law-abiding citizens.

Not much has changed. IDIOTS are still IDIOTS, and crooks are still behaving like crooks (ignoring all the laws they can,     8-) ;) ). WHY can't these friggin' MORONS EVER get a clue to figure out they will NEVER follow their laws???

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
