Who's your favorite superhero?
All of the comic book movies got me thinking...I really like Batman. Not only is he human, he had to work for every skill that he got, and he can be a steely-eyed killer when he needs to. What kind of bastard keeps kryptonite handy, just in case?

I'm of an age that Marvel's pantheon either didn't exist or I wasn't aware of them as a small child. When I did become aware of Marvel, I wasn't too excited by Spiderman, the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk, etc. Seeing the '50s version of Superman was probably my first exposure to superheroes; that, or Mighty Mouse. I was a DC Comics kid, Superman (though I sometimes had a problem with him, even then), Batman, Green Lantern and the Flash...
The trailers for the new Green Lantern look interesting.

Not to hijack the thread, but I've been to that very spot several times--it's a meadow (sometimes called Debbie's Meadow) below Chimney Rock and Courthouse Mountain, near the top/on the west side of Owl Creek Pass, near Ridgway and Ouray, Colorado. Beautiful spot. Told a sister that's where I'd like my ashes scattered when I'm gone.arctictom wrote:This is as close as I get to superheros .

A weak government usually remains a servant of citizens, while a strong government usually becomes the master of its subjects.

Does Deadpool count? Or is he more a super anti-hero, for the purposes of this discussion?

Captain America. The original one, not Cyborg Bucky With Mental Issues And A Gun.
Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."
