The NRA offers insurance for self-defense expenses - I wouldn't go w. any pre-paid legal services. Find the best defense attorney in your area, or any areas where you travel. Discuss your concerns w. him, it really shouldn't cost much of anything - all you're seeking is a cell number and to establish a professional relationship.

I wouldn't think calling a lawyer first would be a good idea. I would also describe yourself to the officers - this is something which is really more of a LEO question.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned that we're talking about a 5-shot revolver here (likely) and we've got an 80% hit ratio, unless they're counting through and through as two separate shots.

First? No. Almost immediately after the police? Hell yeah! A good lawyer will ask if you called the police(or if he's really good he'll give you HTRN's number to help you hide the body ), Then he'll do you the biggest favor in your life...Tell you to "KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT". Even if you live in a good castle doctrine/no retreat state, there is still a chance of running afoul of a prick DA. The last thing you want to do is give a statement while adrenalin is still flowing in your veins and don't really know full well what the hell just happened yourself.

She's pretty pissed about her fiance sending out the photo without any conditions for its use:



Money-hungry-grubbing photo whore. She could have used her incident to further educate and inform women and encourage them to get the means to protect themselves - BUT NO!! SHE WANTS TO MAKE MONEY OFF HER KILLING THE INTRUDER!!!

Let's not judge her here. She just killed a man and frankly, as someone who makes money off her looks it is not an unreasonable initial reaction.

She's going to have to live with that long after the money's spent and her looks have faded.

There's no bad press. As poorly as this reflects on her as an individual in many peoples' eyes, it sustains the story in the news cycle and as a topic of conversation.

The more legs this story grows that don't detract from the 'helpless woman kills crazed convict' part of the story, the better.




And she's hot enough that low morals increase her attractiveness.
