That is about all I need to say...

Adding in that shots were fired makes it so that you are the first one to report than instead of the cop hearing about it from a neighbor that calls in while he is racing to the scene... No need to make him any more nervous than he will be already.
This is what my lawyer has instructed me to say if I ever had to use my gun. I figure he's working my side of the case and he knows what it will take to make his job easier at it.

I'm just guessing, but I would think you'd want to describe yourself in some fashion.

The book recommends the firearm be away from you when the popo arrive. You have ID in hand. PLAN ON BEING HANDCUFFED. Be prepared to tell the police you want your attorney present before answering any questions beyond your identification.

My firearm will be holstered when they arrive. In a situation like that, you never know if the person you shot or one of his buddies will attempt to attack again.

I'm not offering legal advice here (nor am I qualified to).

I do wonder whether, provided one could muster the necessary sang-froid to remember to do it, making the 911 call without the sim card in a mobile phone would be a good idea - IIRC, it makes it impossible for the authorities to trace what phone made the call.

It would be better to have the words prepared already (along the lines above), and if possible hand them and a phone to another person with the instruction to make the call, say the words and hang up.
I would say that something like that could be misconstrued as you being way to calm to have been someone that was just moments before in fear for their life...

...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

I cannot believe, on any level, that the individual in that video actually believes what he is saying and not acting out of some other motive. No one, no matter how stupid or senseless, would recommend the actions he recommended in that clip.
