Now THAT's just pathetic. You can't even REASONABLY live in something like that more than a couple of weeks (I'd say days at most until you get sick of climbing over the top of each other and stepping on each other's things.IrateIrishman wrote:Why not? Of course, you can throw a camper shell in top of ANYTHING - including a Toyota Prius (but nobody has had the money to throw away doing such an experiment). Just because you can throw a camper shell onto a Honda Insight does NOT mean you should (just so you can claim the highest MPG of a livable vehicle on the planet). That mentality is simply disgusting, but it certainly doesn't stop our FANATICAL LIBERAL friends.
They'll do crap like that abominable E-Camper above, just to prove their point that we should all be living in caves and tents which can barely hold us while we starve and hunt animals with stone tools.
What a bunch of MORONS!!!

It wasn't designed to live in. It is well suited for the weekend camping trip for 2, or saving money on over nights for a long road trip(say crisscrossing the country). I've driven the old syncros, unless you want to do a subie swap they are slugs particularly with a full camper set-up in back.308Mike wrote:Now THAT's just pathetic. Close to 40mpg highway with the five speed(a little less for the turbo, but you gain 60hp), actually fits 4 adults and pretty damn reliable. I'd take a turbo cruiser over most other econo-boxes any day.Denis wrote:Which just proves there really is a fool born somewhere every minute.

The thing is that it looks way more comfortable than sleeping in the back of my Tucson during my trip to Austin last year. Sure I was well-armed, but man was I uncomfortable. The next long road trip like that will have fewer guns but better camping gear.
Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."

You aren't supposed to live in it. It's for weekends. And it is particularly stupid because according to Honda you can't safely have carry more than 675lb of payload in the Element.308Mike wrote:Now THAT's just pathetic. Wait, you can't carry 4 normal-sized males anywhere? That seems to destroy the entire point of having more than 2 bucket seats.merll2005 wrote:You aren't supposed to live in it. It's for weekends. Years from now our children and grandchildren living in a 3rd world America will ask "What were you doing on March 21st 2010 and why didn't you stop it?"

Can't find it anymore on Honda's site but look at the third paragraph from the bottom http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2007/05/honda-element/.Aegis wrote:Wait, you can't carry 4 normal-sized males anywhere?
