So what happens when you get it up to 88 mph?
Years from now our children and grandchildren living in a 3rd world America will ask "What were you doing on March 21st 2010 and why didn't you stop it?"

Twenty-six-year-old Cameron Wynne is a champion wakeboarder and fan of the electro-funk band Chromeo. His long hair, tanned skin and girlfriend-who-works-in-fashion go a long way toward completing his cool-kid persona.

Is that what passes for cool nowadays ? he sounds like a bit of a prick to me, like those twenty-something 'hipsters' you see in the mobile phone adverts.

When I was his age :-

1) No-one knew what a wakeboard was. I still don't, but I can imagine that it involves people who shout 'Cowabunga' a lot

2) Electro-funk  is that like the song 'Lowrider' by War ? I like that tune so probably it isn't

3) Long hair, short hair, it didn't matter. Just so long as you didn't get it cut by your mother, bowl style

4) Tanned skin. Not in the UK. I knew people who died of mildew from the constant rain*

5) Girlfriend-who-works-in-fashion ? round here your girlfriend was cool if she had no facial hair and didn't have 6 fingers and webbed toes* I had a girlfriend who was a model and that isn't cool at all unless you like women with a raging amphetamine addiction who are completely and utterly batshit insane

* The above statements may not be true. Not completely true anyway :D

Anyway, one of the most pointless cars ever built. I don't like the films either. I think I've got early onset curmudgeonitis :D

Drugs fly out of it... ;)

As cold as English lakes and rivers are, I'm not surprised that wakeboarding hasn't caught on.

A Delorean hitting 88mph only happens in the movies.
HTRN, I would tell you that you are an evil fucker, but you probably get that a lot ~ Netpackrat

I think that means "Girlfriend-who-desperately-believes-people-should-pay-$24.95-per-month-to-see-her-jubblies-and-tattoos" in American English.
Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."

Bleh...

They are ugly, handle like shit, impossible to keep clean and can be outrun by my Jeep Grand Cherokee...

Like Highspeed, I'm sick of these hipster-douchebags who try to make crappy, old stuff cool. Same thing with Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. It was cheap swill when it was all we could afford as teens. It's still cheap swill but the hipster-douchebags think it's cool because it's "old school".
