The Black Eyed Peas ruin the Superbowl Halftime Show

Post by workinwifdakids »

What's worse? That the Black-Eyed Peas auto-tuned half their show, or that the part they didn't auto-tune was so awful sounding that they wouldn't have made it to Hollywood Week on American Idol?

I more or less like them on the radio, but sweet Jesus they can't sing a note. TC8228 would like to inform you that he tried to light his puppy on fire after listening to them.
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

What do you think about renaming this thread to, Superbowl Entertainment (or Lack Thereof) - to discuss not only the halftime show but also the commercials?

I've long been convinced that as long as the NFL trots out an unrelenting series of rockers, they will have problems. Why not interleave country-western? Or even bring down the Boston Pops for a change?

Rockers?

Sorry - that was a travesty - and I agree with Chris about the sound-crew.

As to the auto-tune, well... now we know why...

that half time show reminded me of a low budget 1952 sci fi TV show.

AWFUL doesn't even begin to cover it.

My favorite was the dancers with the box heads. Seriously WTF???

The rhinestone glitter shoulder pads on fergie?? Well at least they made her look like she had huge boobs. Ok, I'm reaching for a positive.

Should've have gone with Chickenfoot. I knew there was a reason I had the mute button on for the blond skank at the beginning and the auto wonders in the middle.

You know, I TRIED to consider her a "silver lining" in the whole disgusting mess, but...

She looked like a frigging drag-queen.

I turned off the game before it got started because the Star Spangled Banner was so atrociously performed. Got curious, so I turned it on again just in time for the halftime show which caused me to turn it off again.

I then turned it on again just in time to watch Pittsburgh fail to execute the 4th quarter two minute drill effectively.

I'll look at the summary tomorrow. :(

It was pure unadulterated awful. I had an urge to take a power drill to my temple in an effort to end the pain.

And that was before they rappeled Usher in there, that was like splashing around in a sewer for twenty minutes only to run into a midget who punched you in the nuts with no warning. And what the hell was with the Tron on ice dance performance.

In conclusion, all across America thousand's of fathers turned to their teenage daughters and yelled, "This is you generation's F%$&^$g fault!"
