Passchendaele the Movie

Post by scipioafricanus »

From the star of Due South,

Trailer seems to make it a must for the WWI buffs out there. There are few WWI movies out there: Sgt York and The Lost Battalion come to mind. Since it is more for Canadian audiences, I doubt many Americans will see it. Should be released in the coming weeks from what I understand.

Paths of Glory, I think it was, with Kirk Douglas, was a great movie. Kubrick directed it, I believe.

Oh yeah, I did see that trailer last weekend on the CBC channel here in Detroit. (They were playing the unedited version of Space Balls and it came on)

I'm not a big movie goer myself, so I doubt that I'll go see it. I still need to get into the rental store to catch up on all the movies I've missed lately.

Now will someone make a movie of the voyage of the Imperial Russian Baltic Fleet's epic voyage to destruction at Tsushima? If it's a good one I guess I could tolerate a 'love interest'...
