Wasnt a bad show, kinda over the top but I dont know if the industry does not need that. If it can be shown that the really out there stuff in the gun world is not all that scary and bad, then the regular stuff that most of us have will be quite normalized.

I think you are right. It will take the fear and mystery away, assuming the people that are tuning in include the fence sitters. It might just appeal to guys and gals like us. There are enough of us out there that this show could still run for several seasons with just the gun nut demographic.

It also clearly follows the same formula as Pawn Stars, with equally personable characters. I liked it.

I didn't care for the 37mm flaregun being referred to as a "grenade launcher". Also, doesn't someone already have the term "Masterkey" trademarked?

I had also seen AR's with 870's attached at Elliot's possibly as far back as the mid 1990's. While the Saiga may have been a fresh touch, the underslung shotty certainly isn't.

Of course, constantly referring to an M-4 (or M-4gery) as an "M-16" got a little annoying.

I didn't think the shotgun suppressor would work, but they did knock it down quite a bit. The masterkey idea was neat, but a hell of a lot bulkier than an 870! Seems to be lots of Saiga loving in this show, lol!

Now, where can I find people that will shell out $2,500-$3,000 for a shot in the dark?

The guy is an experienced class III manufacturer and dealer; obviously he knows the difference.

It's almost certainly the producers in the background saying "people don't know what an M4 is, just call it an M16, they understand that".

Oh I understand the probable reason why. Not blaming him. I still find it annoying.
