Clinton, Reagan, W., etc. won primaries. American voters decided they were experienced enough. Think Palin could have won the GOP primary?

Actually, given her reception among voters, and the crowds she attracts, it's very likely she could have.

In contrast to Palin, Biden actually did run, but still didn't win any primary, so with your logic the voters obviously decided he wasn't experienced enough. So what's he doing on the ticket???

That's a logical fallacy. Just because somebody unqualified can't win doesn't mean that everybody who loses is unqualified.

Spells, your position is getting squishy. The discussion was about experience, and now we find out that experience is decided by voters.

This experience thing is not so subjective, me thinks.

Idea for Obama's new slogan: "With every vote, I gain more experience."

I agree, but I'm responding to individual objections and comparisons between Palin's experience and Obama's. My whole point was that McCain should have picked someone where there there could be no such comparisons drawn and hammered the issue.

For those believing she could have gotten the GOP nod, please look at a calendar. She'd have had ONE YEAR in the Governor's mansion by the Iowa caucus and no Downs baby. She'd also have had to debate several times and talk to the press.

Even so, she STILL has more experience than Obama, and will have until she quits politics or he wins the White House.

bottom line is that McCain shouldnt have been the pick in the first damn place... but that is a matter that will be dealt with via fallout against the GOP after the election...

It gave the pro life zealots a joygasm. They were cutting to the baby over and over at the convention for a reason.
