I imagine a couple of metal lids stacked together would probably keep them from folding after numerous hits on a line.Flintlock Tom wrote:How about a trashcan lid? Will probably cut a square off the bottom of the log piece and make two targets from it. Would like to get a larger piece avout 36"X36" or larger for the LONG range target.

POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

Money's getting a little too tight with not having a job yet and unless I find employment, we're going to have to forgo the expense of the trip we wish to attend (and we also need someone to watch the cats).
I had NEVER, in my wildest dreams/nightmares envisioned I would ever be unemployed for so long and that trying to find a job would be so turned on its head - you walk in to a business or organization and try to get a job and they tell you that you MUST apply online and then you never hear from them again, or YOU have to check back on your registered account to see if they have any further questions for you, etc., etc.
It's little wonder so many people are getting disgusted and disheartened while looking for work.

Re: Rumpshot's Revenge V
Made a trip to the site yesterday afternoon. Road conditions are pretty much the same as the last few years. The Forest Service has marked out several of the 2-track roads that branch off the main road. No motorized travel on them anymore.
Our track has a couple branches laid across it, but no sign to prohibit travel.
There are lots of Russian Thistle all over the place at the site. Most are 8-12 inches tall and will be a pain. If I can get some help we will try to rake some of them out of the way.
Will have the outhouse dropped at my house and trailer it to the site.
My weekends are Fri-Sat. I will take a vacation day for Sunday. I will be betweeen the house and the site on Friday and would appreciate any help that is available to get setup. I will not be bringing the big truck up to the site this year.
I need to contact Tony and borrow the targets again. I have a couple new pieces of steel for gongs. Don't know how they will hold up, they are about 1/2" plate. Should be good for pistol, .22, and low speed round nosed lead.
Saturday night dinner at my house. Home-made Chili and home-made bread. Some libations will be available.
As usual, donations toward outhouse rental and to defray the cost of dinner appreciated.
Hope to see you all there.

Re: Rumpshot's Revenge V
I hope to hit the road very early on Friday morning so I hope to get there early afternoon. I'll help any way I can.
How can we get money to you or should we just settle up when we get there?
I'll be by myself this year and hope to camp at the site.
