Magic Ink by Moose42

Magic Ink is a [strike]short[/strike] fantasy story from another Writing Excuses writing prompt.

This isn't your typical fantasy story though.

Feedback would be appreciated.

Oh if you think part of my story is far fetched, it's not too far from the truth. And so what it's fantasy! ;-)

Interesting, I'm not very good at critiquing so not much I can add of any value. Looking forward to reading more of it though!

Seems pretty good so far. I'm guessing the extremely conversational style first person narrative within generous humor interlaced is intentional. In that case, you're pulling it off. I laughed out loud a couple times.

What started out as a simple exercise from a Writing Excuses prompt has now become a monster. A monster full of air to air combat, with flintlocks, grapeshot, and firebombs!

Don't feel bad. What started as a diversion during a run of writer's block (I swear the next installment of Prayer's of a Spacer is coming along) turned into a whole 'nother writing project with pirates as the heroes and a vast, complicated diatribe on corporatism and authoritarianist creep.

It's delicious until your teeth fall out.

I am glad you guys are enjoying it. Because if I'm the only person who enjoys it what's the point?
