I see I've been remiss about introducing myself.

I'm an "old-time" member of this forum's (two or is it three?) predecessors. I am generally interested in all things that go "bang".

I have a small collection of Swiss-Army surplus rifles, a smattering of handguns and a few specialised hunting arms. My brother said of my armoury recently, "just whose army are you equipping, then?", so I suppose ideas of what constitutes a "small collection" are relative. When I can find the time, I even manage to shoot some of them. Again, time permiting, I like to load my own ammunition.

As I live in Europe, I tend to have an "overseas" view of some forum topics, which can get me into trouble occasionally. Was vom Hofe a greater wildcatter than P.O. Ackley, or is 7x64 Brenneke a better hunting round than .270 Winchester? I also occasionally beg for help from forum members in North America, when it comes to finding obsure items of gunny paraphernalia at reasonable prices, so be warned...

Thanks to CC, Chris and the crew for making the new Forum happen. It feels home-y already.

I don't know how, but jwenting is still posting over at TOS and apparently doesn't know about us or hasn't cared to grace us with his presence. Unless he's doing so with a different user name.
