I did not mean to be so negative in my original posting. Like Mike, I appreciate the link and will peruse it frequently. I was disappointed to find my handgun missing though.

I appreciate the site, too, Legman. I'm always adding new informational sites to my bookmarks. The more the better!
As an aside, don't feel bad about us grabbing your idea, running downfield with it, and making a touchdown in our own end zone. We've spent the better part of a decade turning threadjacking into not just a semi-professional sport, but actually a feature here. That's why I read every thread, because I never know where I'm going to find something valuable and interesting. Does anyone remember the record threadjack? I can't remember who did it, but it was actually ONE post, and it was by the guy who posted his own thread. GENIUS!

And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

My guess is it was CC - see, things like that, the pink thong thread, and the chaps one should have been saved, for historical purposes, so new members would understand our deviant culture.

Some errors on brief look at the site.

Walther PPK
All this time I thought it stood for Kurtz. The Walther PP was immediately popular, and two years later a smaller version was produced for concealed use. It was intended for plain clothes and undercover police work and was designated 'PPK', which stands for 'Polizei Pistole Kriminal'.

Heh, no worries guys, my feelings aren't that sensitive. I've actually been on various iterations of this forum on and off since 2005, so I'm quite familiar with the tendency to threadjack, and have even participated in a few. Although even I don't know what Kommander's assless chaps or the pink thongs are about. Don't feel the need to explain the latter to me... really... what y'all do with each other when I'm not around is your own business...
But I have noticed a tendency for people here to come across as angry a lot lately (mind you, not without reason) and be rather nitpicky as a result. On this particular thread, it seemed to happen right away. I thought an attitude adjustment was needed, so I provided one
Glad y'all liked the link and think it'll be useful. It's far from perfect but it does seem more thorough and complete than anywhere else. Some of the Ask prices are hopelessly out of date too... even though they're only three or four years old

I didn't have much time to look, but I thought their page on the CZ 75 SP-01 was spot on - I love the rotating photos. Almost makes me regret selling mine. Only almost, though - because I didn't like the DA/SA setup. I'll replace it with a '75 in SA; perhaps the "Shadow" version.

Re: Genitron.com?
European writers (or maybe a few that I've read of recent) have a tendency to call a pistol a revolver. Like from a "splinter in the mind" my OCD mind screams when I read a phrase like: "Though mortally wounded, Heydrich returned fire with his revolver." (SS OberReichsFuhrers carried revolvers now, did they?) Or, "Jan leaned against the telephone pole and fired his revolver" where from the context it's clear he was carrying a BHP.Darrell wrote:Oh, I agree with you. Many people won't call a revolver a pistol, though.
Sorry Legman ..... I'm nitpicky and anal (that OCD thing).

And of course, as time goes on, that number will be increasing ever larger until NO ONE will be older than a 1903 Springfield!HTRN wrote:Some of us even have guns older than any living human being.308Mike wrote:As I'm sure you're aware, MANY of us shoot older firearms, some of which are older than the shooters are
