Obama: Terror groups have 'legitimate claims'

I just ran across this article:
Obama: Terror groups have 'legitimate claims'
Asserts U.S. needs foreign policy that 'looks at the root causes of problems'

JERUSALEM – The Hamas and Hezbollah terrorist organizations have "legitimate claims" that are being "weakened" by the violence the terror groups carry out, Sen. Barack Obama recently stated in largely unnoticed remarks in the New York Times.

Speaking in May with columnist David Brooks, Obama said the U.S. needs a foreign policy that "looks at the root causes of problems and dangers."

The presidential candidate compared Hezbollah to Hamas, stating they both need to be compelled to understand that "they're going down a blind alley with violence that weakens their legitimate claims."

They can have any claims they want - legitimate or otherwise. The problem, of course, is when someone says they're going to cut my daughter's head off if I don't capitulate. Well, fuck them and the horse they rode in on.

I would actually be willing to sit down and debate some fairly crazy-as-a-shithouse-rat ideas, but the moment your opponent starts blowing up school buses I don't care if his argument is as sound as 2+2=4, I want his head on a pike in my living room.
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

that would ruin the carpet... perhaps we could just use them to hold targets at the local range

if they held the target, it would only be a matter of time before the errant shot or two missed the target in the [strike]wrong[/strike] right place

See now, I thought you were talking about the last part of his sentence where he says: I want his head on a pike in my living room. and you were concerned about ruining the carpet in the living room. I thought it might be a little hard for his head to hold a target, so making it a target would be much easier. Filling it with Tannerite might make it much more fun too - you'd certainly know when it was hit!

Seventy years ago this week PM Chamberlain bowed to Hitler's "legitimate" pressure to take over the Sudentland as it was home to mostly Germans. So Chamberlain signed the Munich treaty and declared he had made peace for "our time".
This dumb ass Obammo evidently, never cracked a history book while getting hes education.

It's not uncommon for terrorist groups to have legitimate claims. It's their methods that make them assholes.

Gee, from the quotes, it sounds like he's condemning the violence.

Couple that with he's willing to alienate Pakistan (I'd be so sad if we pissed off those bitches) to send troops to kill running coward al Quaeda... I honestly don't think he's going to sing Kumbaya with the terrorists.

The funny thing is, I've heard from some Irish friends that they think Obama's a warmongering putz for wanting to continue fighting in Afghanistan and Pakistan, which to those "enlightened" chaps is just as meaningless as the invasion of Iraq.
