Jeep SJ, XJ, or GM k5 project truck? Others maybe?

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

Sounds like she needs something along the lines of the Nukizer prototype... :)

I’ve seen quite a few Dodge Nitro models around and looked into them when they came out this fall for the new year—impressive…

I’ve always liked and enjoyed the mid-size Dodge Durango…

Unfortunately, the nitro has proved out to be a poorly made POS.

For some reason, it seems that Chrysler only gets it right making jeeps, minivans, and pickup trucks.
I think the Nitro is a rebadged Jeep Liberty, but that isn't exactly saying much for it.

They seem to be pretty good at making high performance vehicles; Viper, Charger, Challenger, etc.

That's frikken cool.

Ahhh... a Timely Link: http://jalopnik.com/5504535/jeep-nukize ... -flashback
Yeah it has a J8 chassis with either JK-Rubi or Dynatrac axles, I believe, with a modified AEV TJ-Brute rear bed and a custom front body work. Jeep keeps teasing us with this mini-trucks based off of Wrangler platforms (Nukizer, Gladiator, etc). I hope one day they make a Rubi-based truck with a diesel and manual tranny.

I can dream, right?!? :D

Just looked at them and never followed up afterwards on them at all...but they gave good height for clearance and had 4WD and with the short wheelbase would be good in small tracked lanes...

Although there is a completely restored 1963 Land Rover wagon in the garage at home I'd never buy a new one (or a Jaguar) being as they are still owned by Ford...

What we used to see a lot of up here were the Toyota Land Cruisers but they are a rare commodity now-a-days...

No unless you mean because Henry Sr. and Jr. were flaming anti Semitic, Jew hating SOBs who wouldn't hire a Jew in their plant until WW2 forced them to take women, some of whom were Jewish...Henry sponsored the hate pamphlet "History of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion" to be published in the USA and in an interview claimed "The International Jew: the World's Foremost Problem"...It also carried over to his brother-in-law, Harvey Firestone of the tyre company of the same name...

If the man wants to see me dead, I don't see any reason to buy his products...Why GM and Chrysler were popular within the Jewish community...

Oh, and no I don't forgive or forget and although not a JDL member "Never Again"!

Works for me, SH. That's what I was referring to. I've got more recent reasons for not buying Ford, but they are kind of piddling compared to yours. FWIW, I think Land Rover is owned by the Chinese these days, which is another reason for not buying a new one. I'd love to have one of the vintage units, however.
