Sometimes the joke is even better when it sails right past the jokee. And what's even better than that, is when a guy who's been here for nearly a year, and in that time has chosen to grace us with a grand total of 8 posts, including the 5 so far in this thread, gets all butt-hurt over the joke, and starts crying about the forum rules to people who have been together on said forum for eight effing years, through any number of server and/or domain changes.

Nothing so sinister for me. Shortly after Turret 2 brewed up on the Iowa, the Navy decided it was way easier to do a DNA check on bits instead of trying to piece the parts back together like the FAA does.

I did time on the Kalamazoo. The sampling thing was a navy wide reaction to the explosion and aftermath. We did have a guy in deck division that was supposedly on the Iowa. BM2 Funk.

That's honestly kind of sad when you think about it. But at least the vast majority of those posts haven't been spent whining about one other member, who hurt my tender feelings. That would be really pathetic.

Well, I was trying to make a joke .... a "The Prisoner" reference. But I guess jokes are not always appreciated/understood.
